Our current harvest from Mexico is an absolute gem. From the La Cañada region in Oaxaca, this coffee thrives from the region's humidity and altitude. Each member of the Union de Productores Las Flores is a smallholder farm, typically between .5 and 3 hectares, where quality is controlled up to milling, the sent off to the UPLF beneficio. It's easy to be hyperbolic about coffee, using too many adjectives, but this coffee is that good: it's bittersweet like baker's coco, has a ton of spice and earthiness, and a rich body that is balanced by pear like acidity. I think coffee connoisseurs and newbies to specialty coffee could both find a lot to like about this coffee. And it's organic.
